This number has called me three times already this week but I don’t bother answering because I’ve learnt my lesson. The last time I answered a random number just a few weeks ago, (which happened to be another charity org. with ph numbers 09 967 8600 or 8633), she “read” to me a long spiel about their work and then basically asked for monthly donations, wanting to set up a/ps etc to which I said “no” because I will donate in my own time and on my own terms. I think I’ll just block these numbers.
Tip: do not be tempted to fill in online surveys because even if you select “no I don’t wish to be contacted by...” they will ring anyway!!

Same, they called and hang up as soon as I answer. I did not call back. Its likely a scam

this number called me 5mins ago and asked my name and I said yes they said they were from unisef then hung up

This number has called like a psycho ex. At one point hanging up and calling me 6 times non stop.

they have called me every day around the same time, even after blocking the number i still get texts about getting a missed call from them, totally a nuisance!

I've received 7 calls from this number in a week. I don't answer thinking they would leave a message...but they never did...so have blocked it...

I answered 04 901 6955 at 9.57am and they hung up and then called me again at 6.27pm the same day. I didn’t answer and am going to block the number after reading these comments as it seems like it’s a sales call/nuisance caller. Thanks for the tip.

Phone rang then hang up once answered, so after reading all these comments I then rang the number back.... Sure enough it was unicef!!.. It does ask you to leave your number if you no longer want to recalls so have done that. Let's see how it plays out.

I called back number 04 901 6955 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

It's a weird one, rings pretty much at the same time 3 or 4 days in a row to a phone that is a spare that is only kept charged in case it is required. The ring tone only sounds about 4 times then they hang up.
The odd thing is nobody apart from Trade Me auto has ever been given the number but this number is latest in a regular string of calls. I will block the number like I did with the others!

I've received three calls from this number over the last week. I don't pick up calls to unknown numbers, and I don't share my phone number. I've been receiving a lot of unknown number calls lately, I assume it's all part of the same scam.

I don't typically answer unknown numbers because if and when I do it's usually sales cold callers. If they don't leave a message, I just don't bother and block.

Called me during math class. Says the caller was from Wellington. I immediately declined

This number called me twice, once at like 1am or something and the next time when I was busy at work today. Woman claims to work for Unicef I hung up on her when she kept telling me she couldn't hear me.

This number called me in the morning 2 days in a row now. And when I answer, the caller just hung up. Blocking them now after reading the comments here!
